The science behind PoultryStar® – Mode of action

The probiotic strains patented by BIOMIN were thoroughly investigated and isolated from the gut of healthy birds, for excellent host adaptability and efficient use in poultry. The strains were specifically selected for their ability to maintain a healthy gut microbial population under challenging environmental conditions and have demonstrated the highest efficacy in the competitive exclusion of pathogenic bacteria.

The prebiotic fructooligosaccharides (FOS) were tested in our laboratories for their ability to selectively stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial microflora in the large intestine, thus improving host health.

Application

Water application: PoultryStar® sol

PoultryStar® sol is applied to drinking water and can be used in different poultry production systems and under different environments. The application is flexible and recommended during critical and stressful periods of the production cycle.

Feed application: PoultryStar® me

PoultryStar® me is a microencapsulated form for feed application which allows the product to withstand high temperatures used in pelleted feed.
